Synopsis

This course is designed to help new and experienced instructors by providing teaching techniques for adult learners, lesson plan development strategies, test construction and validation strategies, an overview of the legal aspects of training, and familiarization with the POST submission process for Continuing Law Enforcement Education (CLEE) credit.

Required Equipment

Students must bring a laptop computer with presentation software, charger, and mouse.  If students do not have presentation software, instructions will be provided for downloading open source (free) software and/or using web-based presentation software.

Note

This six-day course is offered across two weeks with three class days each week.  The time between the first and second week is necessary to provide students an opportunity to work through their assigned projects and prepare for the exam the second week.  This class is limited to eighteen students.  Payment is required to secure a seat.
