
Firearms Instructor (3 Gun)
Synopsis
The Firearms Instructor course is designed to take law enforcement officers with extensive experience with semi-auto pistols, pump shotguns, and AR15 platform rifles and expose them to the inner workings of developing firearms training courses, evaluation and qualification criteria, and the resulting legal implications. Student performance is evaluated through a combination of written exams, performance tests, and qualifications across the all weapon types. Students are required to pass all course evaluation criteria to receive the instructor certification.

Note
Payment is required to secure a seat. Students are required to be competent and safe firearms handlers and capable of following shooting drill instructions. Students are required to bring their own semi-auto pistol, pump or semi-auto shotgun, and AR-15 or M4 platform rifle for use during training. The course will require 1000 rounds of pistol, 500 rounds of rifle, 50 rounds of shotgun (00 buck), and 150 rounds of shotgun (field #7 - #8) ammunition. A detailed list of equipment requirements will be emailed to the student following course registration.
Course certification is valid for three years. Recertification is free for prior graduates of the Dividing Line Solutions Firearms Instructor course. Recertification courses are completed in two days (16 hours).
This is not a minimum-standards course meant for an unmotivated student. Payment and attendance do not guarantee certification. Successful performance is mandatory, including day-one enrollment evaluation criteria. Day-one evaluation criteria will be emailed to students to assist in preparation.
